How the list is built
Anyone can download the state spreadsheet. The work is in knowing which rows are real openings — and being able to reach them.
State license file
Every on-premises alcohol license in Georgia, pulled from the Department of Revenue and filtered to Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Clayton, Cherokee, Forsyth, Henry, Douglas, and Fayette.
Renewal screening
Renewals and ownership transfers are issued new account numbers and look identical to openings in the raw data. Each record is checked against the open web and classified.
Contact enrichment
Trade name, opening status, website, social handle, and business phone, drawn from what the establishment itself publishes.

How is this different from local restaurant news?
Publications cover a handful of notable openings each week, without contact details. This list is comprehensive for the metro — including the taco spot in Buford and the sports bar in Duluth — and every row carries a phone number or web contact and a verification note.
How do you know an entry is actually a new business?
Roughly a third of new entries in the state file are renewals or ownership transfers of existing businesses. Each candidate is checked against press coverage, review history, and the business's own web presence before it makes the list. The evidence is on the row.
When in a restaurant's life does the license appear?
Usually at or shortly before opening. That is ideal for vendors who sign accounts at opening — distributors, linen, hood and grease, pest, POS, insurance, payroll. It is later than equipment dealers typically want; permit-stage data with earlier notice is in development.
Where does the data come from?
Georgia Department of Revenue alcohol license records, county and city public records, and information the establishments themselves publish. No scraped personal data — business contact channels only.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, with no notice period. You keep every list you've received.
What about other metros?
